Temperature Fun Facts: The hottest temperature that has been recorded is 136 °F or 57.8 °C. This was recorded in Libya on September 13, 1922. The hottest temperature in the U.S. is 134 °F or 56.7 °C. This was recorded on July 10, 1913 in Death Valley. The coldest temperature recorded is -128.6 °F or -89.2 °C. This was recorded on July 21st in Antartica. In Africa, -11°F or -24 °C is the coldest temperature recorded. It was recorded on February 11, 1935 in Morocco. At -40 degrees, Celsius and Fahrenheit are equal.
