For our first experiment, we're doing a tornado in a bottle.
Materials:
Water
Clear bottle
Dish soap
Glitter or food coloring (optional)
Procedure:
Fill the bottle with water until about three-quarters are full.
Add some drops of dish soap (and glitter or food coloring if you'd like).
Cap the bottle tightly and turn it upside down.
Spin the bottle in a circle for a few seconds. You should see a mini tornado.
Other Procedure:
Fill one bottle two-thirds full of water.
Duct tape the mouth of another bottle to the mouth of the first bottle so no water leaks out.
Move the bottle in a circular motion, and a tornado will form.
Hope you enjoy the experiment!
